Hi, I am Dr Jo Rosenberg. I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist (CPsychol) and member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). I am registered as both a Counselling and Occupational Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
I currently run my private psychology practice from consulting rooms in East Finchley, North London and online offering appointments via zoom. I also work at Barnet CAMHS with children, adolescents and their families.
I have worked in the field of psychology for a number of years. My experience includes working in the mental health sector within the NHS together with that of schools and organisations. Prior to my doctoral training, I worked as an HR manager at ITN for several years and provided coaching and training to individuals both within ITN and other organisations.
As a counselling psychologist, I draw upon different therapies including Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Acceptance Commitment therapy, solution focussed therapy and psychological coaching.
For me, it is not about providing a “quick fix”, but about working together to understand what has brought you to therapy, gaining insight into your perception of the problem and what may be maintaining the issue. My work is tailored to suit your individual needs and together we would try strategies that may be most effective and helpful for you.
During my training, I researched mother's experiences of their autistic children's anxiety, and have a special interest in working with families with neurological difficulties.
I offer therapy to those who may be experiencing emotional difficulties and who need some time and space to work through these challenges in order to find a way forward.
I work with children, adolescents and adults who present with a range of difficulties such as:
Autism Spectrum disorder
I would just like to thank you for your compassionate help with my daughter who had been going through an emotionally difficult time in her last year of primary school. Your gentle, supportive manner has not only helped her, but also allowed me the space to clearly see how, as a parent, I could best assist her. She is now flourishing in her new secondary school and maturity into a happy, confident young lady. I cannot thank you enough for how you have helped and supported us.
